Daily Prayer: February 25, 2015

Isaiah 53:4 “Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted.” Lord Jesus, this prophecy tells us how much You had to suffer to redeem us. You took upon Yourself our weaknesses. You carry our sorrows even today. Bless this person who reads this prayer and touch this one at the point of need. You have great power to bind up the brokenhearted and comfort with sustaining grace.

There are so many people who are suffering through no fault of their own. Help them to know that they are not alone in their heartache. May they find their way to the throne of grace and be helped.

Especially do we ask for Your strength to be added to the lives of those who have lost loved ones and are in deep grief. Let the victorious death You suffered give them resurrection hope that we who know You will see our loved ones again.

Amen.
