The Rebels and Lady Rebels held their last regular season games on Friday as the teams traveled over to Banks County High School.
Both teams played with heart but that wouldn’t be enough to beat either team of the region powerhouse.

The game gave the girls a final record of 11-14 with the boys finishing with a 14-11 record. Both games were the last of the region games before the region tournament.

Dawson County’s undefeated girls and East Hall’s boys claimed No. 1 seeds and are already qualified for the state tournament due to the 7-AAA bracket set-up.

The Lady Tigers and Vikings await an opponent to be determined in the 7-AAA semifinals on Friday at Franklin County High.

Quarterfinal games will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday at second-seeded (both boys and girls) Banks County High in Homer.

The Lady Rebels will face East Hall on Tuesday at 6 with the Rebels playing Lumpkin Wednesday at 4:30.

The Ladies had trouble with East Hall during the season but are looking to bounce back to a victory.

The boys game is set to be a close match. During the season the boys split with Lumpkin. Both of those games were decided by four or less points.
