Fannin County Fire Department responded to the above location in reference to a structure fire. First units arrived on scene to find light smoke coming from the roof of a vacant house. Crew made entry into the attic with a TIC (Thermal Imaging Camera) to find smoldering insulation and wiring. Crews removed ceiling in bathroom to remove the smoldering insulation and check for extension. Fire was extinguished and units cleared the residence turning scene over to the homeowner.

Fannin County Fire Department was dispatched to the above location in reference to a fully involved structure fire. Units arrived on scene to find heavy fire coming from the residence. E-4 established a positive water supply from a fire hydrant. Crews deployed 2 – 1 3/4″ attack lines and 1 – 2 1/2″ attack line. Fire was brought under control and hot spots were extinguished. State and local investigators are investigating the cause of the fire.

Fannin County Fire Department was dispatched to 207 Stuart Highland Drive for the report of a chimney fire, arriving on scene to find the house to be fully involved, with other structures and a vehicle in danger. 2 – 1 3/4″ attack lines were deployed for the house and vehicle that was in danger. 3rd attack line was deployed to protect structure across the street from flying embers. Also advised dispatch to contact county road department for ice forming on roadways. Due to heavy heat from structure the underground propane tank caught fire and the control valves were not operable. Firefighters attempted to shut off propane tank with an unsuccessful attempt. One attack line was dedicated
to the propane tank for cooling and safety of fire personnel on scene, at that time due to the safety issues with the propane tank we started the evacuation of 2 residences within close proximity of the propane tank. As of 11:30 Monday February 2nd the residence adjacent to the structure remains evacuated until the burn off process is completed. Rotating crews remain on scene with an ambulance and fire truck until the burn off process is complete.
