Mrs. Irma Ferguson Welch Garrison: Obituary

Mrs. Irma Ferguson Welch Garrison, age 93, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 in the Copper Basin Medical Center in Ducktown, TN.Mrs. Garrison was born on October 4, 1921 in Copperhill, TN to the late O.B. Ferguson and Florence Curtis Ferguson. She was a member of Damascus Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husbands, Claude Welch and Milus Garrison; sons, Steve Welch and Kenneth Welch; and brother, Zane Ferguson.

She is survived by her daughter, Eva Jean Welch of Blue Ridge, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Annette Welch of Cleveland, TN; stepdaughters and spouse, Sharon and Joe Hall of Lawrenceville, GA; stepson and spouse, Larry and Lynn Garrison of Palmer, AK; sisters, Jean Underwood of Spring Hill, FL and Kay Francis Dean of Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Christina Coronado, Laurel Englund, Nick Welch, Carrie Welch, Marshall Davis, Steven Welch, Mason Welch, Becca Davis, Cassidy Davis, and Lynsea Garrison; and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Damascus Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Collis officiating. Music was by the Damascus Church Choir. Pallbearers were Jarid Coronado, Marshall Davis, Nick Welch, Mason Welch, Steven Welch, C.J. Arnold, Saul Coronado, and David Underwood. Interment followed in the Copper Ridge Memory Garden.
