Daily Prayer: 12/17/2014

“And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.” Matthew 13:6
O Divine Father, your grace is our sustaining force. In it we have planted the roots of our souls. There they are nourished with Heavenly love and are assured that our foundation stands sure. We shudder to think of where we would be were it not for the seed that was planted in our hearts and sprang forth into faith. We are your children and we worship you as our Father who cares for His children.

We pray today for those who have not these roots and who are scorched when the sun of adversity rises. Help us to live this day with a determination to show others the way, the truth, and the life that is in Christ.

Amen.
