FCMS PBIS/Graduation Coach, Cherie Kephart, is shown rewarding students with Walmart gift cards, courtesy of Tri-State Electric Membership Corporation. These students were selected from a drawing conducted for students who had zero loss of points on their first nine weeks behavior tracking form. The gift card recipients were: Samantha Rosas, 6th grade and Shiann Dun, 8th grade. PBIS, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, is an evidence-based data-driven framework. This framework is proven to reduce disciplinary incidents, increase a school’s sense of safety, and support improved academic outcomes. Fannin County Middle School rewards students on a regular basis for meeting and or exceeding school-wide expectations. Congratulations to Samantha and Shiann for exceeding expectations.
