Daily Prayer: 10/17/2014

“The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance. I bless the Lord who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me. I have set the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.” Psalm 16: 6-8. Lord Jesus Christ, the lines of our lives have fallen in pleasant places because we know you. Thank you for blessings so numerous that when we look back across the years we see the lines you have drawn for us. They are grace-filled.

Even when we are under such blessings, there are those things that try to shake us from our firm foundation. But we rejoice for we are secure because you make known to us the path of life. We find that in your presence there are pleasures forevermore.

Amen.
