“Why, O Lord do you stand far away? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble? Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand; forget not the afflicted.” Psalm 10:1, 12. Father in Heaven, we know that you are always near, but sometimes we cannot sense your presence. When evil prevails and the heavens are silent, we wonder if you are doing anything about the human suffering we see all around us. It seems that you are not involved and the corruptness grows in our society.
Grant us the ability to see that you are ever present and are touching needs person by person. One day, the heavens will burst open with the shout of our Redeemer who will come and every eye shall see him and every knee will bow before him. Until then, show your glorious grace to the afflicted. We praise you in Jesus Name.
Amen.
