“Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit” – yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring.” James 4:13-14. We live each day at your mercy, O Lord. You want us to make plans and be forward looking, but you want this to be under your guidance that is in accordance with your will.
It is the height of pride to think that we are here by our own design and that we can live through the years without giving a thought to you. You can see the days of our lives, but we can see only today.
You know how to protect and make us prosperous. Grant these blessings to this person who now prays in Jesus name.
