Cochran Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hiawassee announces Graveside Memorial Services for Mildred Taylor Andrew, of Hiawassee, who passed away after a brief illness on Thursday evening, September 18, 2014 in Chatuge Regional Nursing Home.Mildred was born on October 28, 1932 and raised in Towns County, a daughter of the late George & Sarah Jane (Eller) Taylor. She graduated in Towns County, the class of 1948. After graduation, at 16 years old, she moved to Atlanta and started her career with Southern Bell/ AT&T where she retired after 43 years of dedicated service. Mildred was known for her hard work ethic and quick wit humor along with her willingness to help others.
She was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be deeply missed, especially by: Daughter, Denise W. McDonald of Atlanta; Grandchildren, Joshua McDonald, Justin McDonald, Jessica Wiggins, Lyndsey Wiggins Hernandez; Great Grand Children, Ramsey McDonald & Taylor McDonald; Surviving Siblings are Johnny Tayor and Montree McCarter both of Hiawassee, GA. Mildred was raised in a loving and blended family with many siblings who have since passed they were Warden Dover, Christell Dover, Boyd Dover, Avery Dover, George Taylor Jr., Opal Taylor and Thelma Taylor.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Harold Ledford officiating.
