Fannin County Commissioner Bill Simonds signed a Proclamation on Friday announcing Sept 24-28 as Levi Strauss Blue Ridge Employees Week.
Several employees and mangers from Levi Strauss where on hand to witness the signing.
The Proclamation goes on to state,
“The people of Fannin County have great admiration and the utmost gratitude for all the men and women who worked at Levi Strauss and Company at the Blue Ridge plant; and the employees worked hard and provided for their families almost fifty years.”
Levi Strauss was a huge part of the community and still has a part today as the high and other organizations still receive grants from the company.
The Proclamation is set to remember and recognize all who worked at the Blue Ride Plant.
