The mission of Mountain Education Charter High School is to provide students the opportunity to be successful learners and to earn a high school diploma.
About one hundred students attend Fannin County Mountain Education Charter High School. Our students attend for a variety of reasons. We provide a supportive place for students to learn. We also encourage our students to continue with their education by attending a post-secondary institution. Many of our students go on to technical colleges as well as four-year universities. We offer college field trips, educational speakers and scholarships to help achieve this goal.
Each of our students is assigned a mentor to assist and support them while they attend MEC. There is also a complete student service staff of counselor, social worker, and graduation coach. We work hard to assist every individual student .
For more information or to enroll in MEC, please contact us at 706-632-6100 Monday through Thursday, 4 – 8 pm.
