Mr. Thomas Jackson Patterson, age 74, of Epworth, GA, passed away on September 4, 2014 in the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN.Born in Copperhill, TN, he was the son of the late William and Imogene Dailey Patterson. He was a retired Miner with Cities Services. Mr. Patterson was a member of the Mt. Zion (Tumbling Creek).
Survivors include his wife of fifty five years, Marlene Patterson of the home; daughters, Sabrina Patterson of Epworth, GA and Tammy (Danny) Kaylor of Murphy, NC; grandchildren, Shawnda (Tommy) Watkins, Brad (Megan) Kaylor and Breane Kaylor; great grandchildren, Ashley and Amber Watkins.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ed O’Neal and Rev. Melvin O’Neal officiating. Music will be provided by Brad Kaylor and Friends and J.C. Dale. The following gentlemen were selected to serve as pallbearers: Tommy Watkins, Jay Harper, Brett Thrantham, Steve Patterson and Larry Sosbee. Interment will follow in the Patterson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-9 p.m. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
