Over 200 spectators and anglers visited Mercier Orchard this weekend for the August U-Fish event. The weekend fun included tractor rides, apple picking, and catch and release fishing for parents and children. Bait and tackle were provided free of charge, along with a few lessons and logistical assistance from Blue Ridge Mountain Trout Unlimited
This community event was meant to “encourage families to spend some time living slowly, enjoying summer while honing your fishing skills.”
