Betty Sue Baker, age 71, of Gulf Breeze, FL, went to be with her beloved mother on July 24, 2014.She was born on August 14, 1942 in Blue Ridge to William Hoyt and the late Irene Huffman McGill. Mrs. Baker was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of twenty-nine years, Walt Baker of Gulf Breeze, FL; son, Scottie Beavers of West Hollywood, CA; two daughters Michelle Beavers of Macon, GA and Ginger Means (Jeff) of Atlanta, GA; two grandsons Grant (20) and Tyler (17) and one brother, William McGill of Morganton, GA; father, William Hoyt McGill of Blue Ridge, GA.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Cheatham and Rev. Harold Weeks officiating. Eulogies were given by Ginger, Grant and Tyler Means and Jason Lowery. Music was by Juanita Schwab. Interment followed in Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeff Means, Tyler Means, Grant Means, James Messer, Jason Lowery and Suella Braman.
