Cheryl Ann Lasko Johnson : Obituary

Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces the death of Cheryl Ann Lasko Johnson, age 64, who passed away peacefully on June 29, 2014 with her family by her side.Originally from Ohio, Cheryl moved to Murphy, North Carolina in 2001 to be with the love of her life, Bill Johnson. She was employed by the Cherokee Broadcasting Company until she retired. She loved spending as much time as possible outdoors and had a passion for gardening. She had an impressive green thumb and grew most of her and Bill’s fruits and vegetables in their organic garden.

Cheryl’s vibrant personality and love of life made her well-loved by many people. Her smile was contagious and could brighten anyone’s day. She loved music, dancing and entertaining. She enjoyed cooking and baking for others; if you were in the company of Cheryl you would never go hungry and probably be sent home with leftovers! Cheryl had a true love of people and was always helping others.

Cheryl is survived by Warren “Bill” Johnson; daughters Heather (Sean) Ferns and Heidi (Mike) Harper of Columbus, Ohio; son, Don (Penny) Johnson of Murphy; four grandchildren: Ava, Reese, Cameron, and Zavier, and a number of close relatives and friends.

Arrangements were provided by Cochran Funeral Homes. Online condolences can be left on Cheryl Lasko Johnson’s memorial tribute at www.cochranfuneralhomes.com
