Mrs. Linda Sue Gibson: Obituary

Mrs. Linda Sue Gibson, age 52 of Morganton, passed away May 19, 2014 suddenly at her home.Mrs. Gibson was born October 22, 1961 in Deerborn, MI to the late Eugene Smith and Dorothy Wright. She was a member of the Morganton Baptist Church. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Smith. Linda enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Survivors include loving husband, Wayne Gibson, son, Jeff Gibson, daughter, Ashley Gibson, son, Caleb Gibson, brother, Eugene Smith Jr., sister, Cynthia Roper, sister, Becky Peardon, and grandchildren, Kierah Gibson, Madie Gibson, Austin Gibson, and Emberlin Gibson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Morganton Baptist Church with the Rev. David Whitener and Rev. Keith Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers include Chad Smith, Josh Smith, Lamar Pearon, Matthew Peardon, Travis Smith and Dylan Ray. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Foster and Daniel Roper.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
