Mrs. Emma Lou Dockery Hill, age 76 of Murphy, passed away April 29, 2014 at the Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home. Mrs. Hill was born May 10, 1937 in Murphy, NC to the late Boyd McDonald and the late Addie Coleman McDonald. She was a member of the Hiawassee Baptist Church.
Survivors include: son, Jack Edwin Dockery, son and daughter-in-law, Tony L. and Gloria Dockery, brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Barbara McDonald, Bill and Antha McDonald, Earnest and Rena McDonald, three grandsons, Brandon Edward Dockery, Travis Jack ‘TJ’ Dockery, Heath Dockery, and one great-grandson, Tony Jack Dockery. Also several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 3:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy with the Rev. Aud Brown officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm on Thursday evening before the service.
