Wednesday was a monumental day in Gilmer County Georgia history. Governor Nathan Deal was in town to sign HB60. The Georgia safe carry protection Act “The Gun Bill.” FYN had an opportunity to speak with House Speaker David Ralston. The second time is a charm, Ralston got the bill through the house last year but it got stuck in committee in the Senate and never made it to the Governor’s desk. But that did not deter Representative Rick Jasperse who was co-author of the bill. Jasperse got it back to the floor in the last session and Ralston got it on the table in Ellijay for the Governor to sign. So it is written, so let it be done! Georgia HB60 is law!
