Donna Ashby Ward : Obituary

Mrs. Donna Ashby Ward, age 61 of Murphy, passed away April 1, 2014 at the Murphy Medical Center in Murphy, NC.Donna was born June 28, 1952 in Houston, TX to the late Y.B. Ashby and the late Kathleen Williams Ashby. She was Catholic in faith. Donna attended school in Lubbock, Texas and she graduated with a nursing degree from the Mary Meek School of Nursing in Abilene, Texas. She enjoyed sewing and doing crafts for her grand kids in her spare time.

Survivors include: husband, P.A. Mark Vincent Ward, son and wife, Christopher and Kelly Ward, son and wife, Jeremy and Tia Ward, daughter, Candy Patterson, brother, Doug Ashby, sister, Sandy Ashby, grandson, Andrew Ward, grandson, Carter Ward, granddaughter, Hannah Ward.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 7:00 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy with the Rev. John Burns officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73123-1718.
