Master Sargent (Ret.) Richard Dan Warren : Obituary

Retired Master Sargent Richard Dan Warren, age 62 of Epworth, GA passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Fannin Regional Hospital. He was born on Tuesday, February 12, 1952 in Stoneham, MA and was the son of the late Leon Warren and the late Frances Burns Warren. Master Sargent Warren was retired from United States Air Force as a nuclear weapons safety specialist. He was a member of Saint Anthony Catholic Church.

Survivors are his wife of thirty-five years, Susan Jankauskas Warren of the home; daughters, Jessica Warren Collogan and husband, Cory of Epworth, GA and Aimee Warren Gamblin and husband, Seth of Monroe, GA; granddaughter, Kyra-Anne Danielle Warren; sisters, Carol Davis of TN, Elizabeth Carbonarro of NY, Gail Brewer of CA and Lois Ashley of FL.

A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Father John Conway officiating. Military honors will be provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of the arrangements.
