The Fannin County High School Lady Rebels recently celebrated yet another scholarship signing, with more to come. Pitcher, Jace Armstrong, has committed to play next year for the Chargers of Ga. Highlands. Armstrong pitched 276 total innings for the Lady Rebels with a career ERA of 2.36. She finished her Lady Rebels career number two on the all-time wins list.Head coach, David Dyer, had high praise for the strong armed Armstrong.
“She’s going to do a great job at Ga. Highlands. They’re going to get a young lady who’ll work hard; a little bit of a perfectionist. Academically she’s a great student.”
Armstrong spoke about some of the things that attracted her to the Chargers’ program.
“They’re a young program so maybe I can help start something there and build a program there and it will give me an opportunity to play and that’s something that I’ve always wanted to do.
The Lady Rebels will also celebrate the signing of Amy Mintz as she has committed to play for Truett McConnell.
