Jo Ann Cheatham : Obituary

Ms. Jo Ann Cheatham, age 75, of Monteagle, TN, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Emerald-Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee, TN. Ms. Cheatham was born in Polk County, TN to the late James and Edith Hall Cheatham. Ms. Cheatham served as a bank teller at Ducktown Bank for 40 years.

Ms. Cheatham is survived by her Sister and Brother in law; Judy and Tommy Lackey of McCaysville, GA, Nephews; Jimmy (Juanita) Arp of Blue Ridge, GA and Eric (Amanda) Lackey of Epworth, GA, Neice; Keri (Stacy) Van Zandt of Blue Ridge, GA, Three Great Nephews, Four Great Nieces, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Ms. Jo Ann Cheatham will be conducted Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 3:00 PM from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Mathew McDaniel officiating. Music will be provided by Barbara Cheatham. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Jimmy Arp, Eric Lackey, Stacy Van Zandt, Jacob Van Zandt, Tom Lackey, and Billy Hancock. Honorary Pallbearers include Carol Green, Beth Towe, Sandy Ryder, Zenobia Ledford, Jo Ann Simmonds, and Louigena Wilson, and Fellow Employees of Ducktown Banking Company. Interment will follow in Epworth Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00-3:00 PM. For those desiring, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Ms. Cheatham to the American Heart Association at www.donate.heart.org.

Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
