Copperhill woke up to a smoke covered basin on Thursday morning. A fire at the old chemical company would be the cause.
Polk County Fire Department was dispatched to the scene around 5 a.m.
Upon their arrival the crew found two structures on fire.
Over 30 firefighters along with three different counties departments, the crews where able to put out the flames quickly letting the blase not get out of hand.
FYN spoke with Copperhill Industries Manager. He stated that no chemicals were in the fire and that it was an old empty office building that caught fire.
It has not been determined what caused the early morning blase, but luckily no injuries have been reported.
