Glenn G. Page, age 72 of Hiawassee, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at his home. Mr. Page was born March 26, 1941 in Lake View, SC to Ernest and Juanita Hayes Page. Glenn’s occupation was a Tobacco Farmer. He moved to the North Georgia area in 1977 where he was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Just a few of the interests that Glenn enjoyed were gardening, fishing and hunting. In whatever he did, Glenn lived life to it’s fullest.
Family members left to treasure his memory include his wife, Barbara Hyatt of Hiawassee, son and daughter-in-law, Garrett and Sheila Page of Raleigh, NC, daughter, Cindi Page and Mike Fruiesen of Durham, NC, step-son and his wife, Joey and Sovilla Hyatt of Hiawassee, step-son and his wife, Keith and Tonya Hyatt of Warne, NC, grandchildren, Trey and Kacye Page of Raleigh, NC, Tyler and Zachary Hyatt of Warne, NC, Kayla White and her husband, Jeremy, of San Diego, CA, Jordan Hyatt of Hiawassee and Alyssa Hagan of Warne, NC, Brother, Lanier Page of Hiawassee and sister, Helen Jackson of Indian Trail, NC.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of the Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee with the Rev. Harold Ledford officiating. Music will be provided by Stanley and Karen Wood. Interment will follow in Osborn Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Joe Rogers, Josh Stamey, Terry Dearing, Barry Dearing, Brad Barrett, Gene Youngblood. Honorary pallbearers include: Trey Page, Tyler Hyatt, Zachary Hyatt, and Tucker Dearing.
The family will receive friends at the Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, Tuesday from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
Flowers are accepted, however if you wish, donations may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church in memory of Glenn.
