Mrs. Barbara Bernola Carter, age 72, of Turtletown, TN passed away Monday, December 23, 2013. Barbara was born in Polk County to the late Horace and Reathel Carden Allen. She was of the Methodist Faith. She was retired from Catnapper where she had worked as a seamstress. She was preceded in death by siblings, Darrell Hamby and Tommy Cole.
She is survived by husband, Lowery Carter of Turtletown, TN; sons, Gary Loudermilk, Charles Loudermilk and Dennis Loudermilk, all of Turtletown, TN, James Loudermilk od Dillon, SC; three step sons, Bill Carter of Mineral Bluff, GA, Keith Carter of Turtletown, TN , Jeff Carter of Murphy, NC; brothers, Lloyd Cole, Jr and William Cole, both of Cleveland, TN; sisters, Lesla Jean Cole and Sandra Faye Cole, both of Cleveland, TN; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild, five step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 28th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Smith officiating. Music will be by Janice Reid. Pallbearers include Josh Loudermilk, Isaiah Loudermilk, Dustin Loudermilk, Bill Carter, Keith Carter and Marvin Hardin.Interment will follow in the Crofts Chapel United Methodist cemetery.
