John William Taylor : Obituary

Mr. John William Taylor, age 69 of Warrenville, SC passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Aikens Regional Medical Center in Aikens, SC.John was born on April 22, 1944 in Trenton, SC to the late Frank Lester and Jennie Ruth Cornett Taylor. He lived most of his life in Blue Ridge, GA and spent the last few years living in Aiken County, SC. John was retired after thirty-five faithful years from Pilgrim Pride as a box maker. He was a member of St. John’s Methodist Church in Graniteville, SC. John enjoyed visiting and being around people.

He is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter and Sue Taylor of Blue Ridge, GA and James and Kathy Taylor of Warrenville, SC; six sisters and brothers-in-law, JoAnn and the late Jervis Arthur of Warrenville, SC, Imogene and Ron Durden of Langley, SC, Julia and Walter Busbee of Gloverville, SC, Sandra and Billy Thigpen of Charlotte, NC, Linda and the late Alton Ergle of Burnettown, SC and Katherine and Norman Cochran of Blue Ridge, GA and his beloved dog, Batman.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from O’Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Rob Lane and Rev. Michael Pope officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hubert Stewart, Donald Stewart, Lynn Arrowood, Larry Williams, David Stanley and Art Perryman.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 18, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of the arrangements.
