FYN was contacted by Transportation Director for Fannin County Schools this afternoon informing us of a bus accident that took place on the morning of November 7, 2013.Transportation Director, Benny Long contacted FYN to tell us that school bus number 24 slid off into a ditch this morning during its route. Long stated that there were 17 students on the bus when it slid off into a ditch on Jade Lane in Mineral Bluff.
“The bus driver evacuated the bus through the emergency exits and we are happy to report that there were no injuries during this incident.”
According to Long, they dispatched another bus that picked up the children and a wrecker was called to get the bus out of the ditch.
“We always try to let everyone know when something like this happens”
