After being on lockdown most of the morning, Fannin County School Superintendent, Mark Henson, told FYN the lockdown has been lifted.FYN contacted Mark Henson after receiving a tip that the lockdown on all five of Fannin’s schools had been lifted. He confirmed that the Fannin County Sheriff, Dane Kirby had contacted him around 11:45 am and explained that he felt as if it would be safe for schools to return to their regular schedule.
FYN has contacted the Sheriff’s Department for a statement on the events and will follow up with that information.
