Mr. Jerry Norman Pitman, age 70 of Smyrna, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 at his home.Mr. Pitman was born December 12, 1942 in Fannin County, GA to the late Norman and Maxine Gray Pitman. He enjoyed watching Nascar in his spare time.
Survivors include: wife, Barbara Pitman, one son, Norman Pitman, three sisters, Betty Cowart of Acworth, GA., Norma Jean Panter of Auburndale, Fl., Charlotte Dempsy of Dallas, GA., two brothers, Tommy Pitman of Cedar Bluff, Al., and Bobby Pitman of Kennesaw, GA., three grandchildren, Erika, Aleisha, and Jeremy Pitman, also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Queen officiating. Music provided by Jerrie Sue Hendrix. Interment will follow in the Hot House Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Bobby Payne, Jerry Dempsy, Randy Lee Postell, and Marty Panter.
The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home on Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm.
