The Fannin County Rebels Football Team looked different Friday night. That is because Coach Hampton was not on the sidelines.Hampton resigned after the Murphy game. FYN has been told that he did this for personal reasons.

Coach Hampton was a retired teacher and will be missed by the Rebels.

Travis Stone has been named Hampton’s replacement. The Rebels came out in a newly designed defense Friday.

Although they allowed 35 points in the first quarter, the defense held the West Hall Spartans to only 14 points in the final three quarters.

Fannin looks to continue implementing the new 4-3 defense during the bye week. The real test comes at the next home game as the Rebels will face defending region champs, North Hall.
