Michael “Mike” Stephen Pierce : Obituary

Michael “Mike” Stephen Pierce, age 60 of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Mike was born on Sunday, August 30, 1953 and was the son of the late Ralph Pierce and Imogene Mull Pierce. He was a water plant operator for the City of Blue Ridge. Mike was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Pierce.

He is survived by his wife Diane Watkins Pierce of Mineral Bluff, GA; daughters, Melissa Pierce of Ball Ground, GA and Andrea Pierce of Atlanta, GA; his faithful dog named, Drake; honorary grandchildren, Sadie, Chancie, Logan, Colby, Tera, Tamra, Della-Grace, Austin, Megan, Madison, Makenzie, Matt C., Adam, Matt H. and Tori.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with the Rev. Scott Baugh, Rev. Gerald Mathis and Rev. Bill Johnson officiating. Music will be by the A.C. Caylor Family. Interment will follow in Salem #2 Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Watkins, Danny Henson, Eric Welch, William Mull, Bozie Watkins, Kenneth Watkins, Bill Patterson and Mark Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Logan Watkins, Colby Watkins, Austin Mull, Gene Ball and City of Blue Ridge.
