Mrs. Leota Davenport King, age 85 of Hiawassee, formerly of Blairsville, passed away September 27, 2013 at Chatuge Regional Nursing Home. Mrs. King was born April 30, 1928 in Blairsville, GA to Erastus and Laura Mae Daniels Davenport. Mrs. King was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed King, her parents and brothers and sisters..
Survivors include: daughter, Carolyn (Gary) Whitman of Douglasville, GA, daughter, Patsy (Wayne) Loyless of Loganville, GA, daughter, Shirley (Denny) Jones of Dallas, GA, daughter, Deborah (Hayden) Davenport of Blairsville, and daughter, Lesia (Kerry) Marler, also of Blairsville, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Graveside services: Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Randolph Jones officiating. Music provided by: Randolph and Casey Jones. Pallbearers: Wayne Loyless, Gary Whitman, Denny Jones, Hayden Davenport, Jonathan Loyless and Les Jones
