Myrtle Davis Millsaps Ash : Obituary

Mrs. Myrtle Davis Millsaps Ash, age 89, of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Mrs. Ash was born on February 18, 1924 in Fannin County, GA to the late George Washington Davis and Nora Delitha Millsaps Davis. She was preceded in death was by husbands, Ernest Floyd Millsaps and Rosco Ash; brothers, Kurt Davis, William Davis, and Warren Davis; and sisters, Nola Lickmiller and Willine Patterson.

She is survived by children and their spouses, Lola Mae and Donnie Pelfrey of Epworth, GA, Mary Lou Millsaps of Blue Ridge, GA, JoAnn and Ken Andrews of Duluth, GA, Bobby and Polly Millsaps of Mineral Bluff, GA, Tommy and Wanda Millsaps of Blue Ridge, GA, Linda and Bob Buchanan of Canton, GA, Jan Millsaps of Townsend, GA and Debbie and Roger Queen of Ellijay, GA; brothers, Herman Davis and Lee Davis; sisters, Reathel Bryan and Polly Raper; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from Hipps Chapel with Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Music will be by Hipps Chapel Choir. Pallbearers will be Larry Pelfrey, Don Millsaps, Bobby Lee Millsaps, Brett Buchanan, Chase Queen and Tyler Queen. Interment will follow in Millsaps Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
