Rhonda Thomas has announced that she will seek re-election for her second term on the Blue Ridge City Council. During her four years in office, Thomas has taken her oath to her position seriously. She has implemented a program of evaluating street and sidewalk safety in conjunction with a system for repaving roads and/or repairs. She urges all city voters to take notice of all the street work that has been done over the past four years without an increase in budget. In addition, Thomas has implemented and serves numerous programs and committees within the city such as the Public Safety Committee, made up of city personnel and county EMT personnel. She says that the overall financial and physical well- being of the citizens of Blue Ridge is her top priority.

Thomas feels it is her duty to serve the community and be a voice for its people. She says that her voting record over the past four years will show this to be a fact. Even in the face of adversity, Thomas says she votes on issues in relation to how they will affect the taxpayers. She feels that Blue Ridge citizens need someone to listen, to hear what they are saying, and to be their voice. She says her record proves she is this person.

Rhonda Thomas is the mother of Brooke Thomas who is a junior at Reinhardt University in Waleska, Georgia. She has a master’s degree in Communicative Arts from Piedmont College and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from North Georgia College and State University. In addition, she is the Owner/Broker of Mountain Place Realty and Mountain Place Cabin Rentals. Thomas is one of the top producers in the Northeast Georgia Board of Realtors.
