Marion Cecil Weaver : Obituary

Marion Cecil Weaver, age 86, of College Park, GA passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2013 in the Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, GA. He was born in Dial, Georgia and served in the US Army during World War II. He is the son of the late Marion L. Weaver and Elzie Kirby Weaver. Cecil was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Fay Oleta Weaver of College Park, GA where they lived for 46 years. They have three children: James Weaver of Ellijay, GA, Deborah Dyer of Fayetteville, GA, and Angela McEachern of Fayetteville, GA. He was the oldest of 10 children and with three brothers still living: James Allen Weaver of Blue Ridge, GA, Raymond L. Weaver of Estacada, OR and Roy L. Weaver of Blue Ridge, GA. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Family prayer will be by Chris Brown. Music will be by Andrea McEachern. Pallbearers will be James Weaver, Larry Dyer, James McEachern, Eric Weaver, Chris Brown, and Craig McEachern. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Weaver. Jeff Weaver, Mark Weaver, Sammy Arp, Barry Martin Seagraves, Scott Keith, Markey Constiano, Hank Anklowitz, Rodney Shields, and James E. Shields. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
