Mrs. Dolores Stamey, age 65 of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge.She was.born on Monday, September 22, 1947 and was the daughter of the late William Parker. Dolores was a seamstress at American Uniform. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband. Clinton Stamey of the home; son, Michael Keith (Paulette) Stamey of Blue Ridge, GA, daughters, Michelle (Kelvin) Roberts of Murrayville, GA and April Stamey of Mount Airy , GA: step-son, James Matthew Stamey of Blue Ridge, GA; mother, Lula Mae Parker of Suches; sister, Betty Jean Woody of Suches, GA and three grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Trulove and Rev. William Phillips officiating. Music will be by Eddie Cain. Pallbearers will be Bobby Tritt, Rodney Woody, Joseph Woody, Tony Gravley, Ricky Parker, Stanley Anderson and Roy Parker. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2013, at Akins Funeral Home, 7871 Blue Ridge Drive, Blue Ridge, Georgia.
