FYN previously reported a fire off of Mineral Bluff Highway on JL Shelby’s Place. Since the initial report, we have received additional information from Fannin County Fire Chief, Larry Thomas.Fannin County Fire Department was dispatched at 4:06 pm on Monday, September 2, 2013. They arrived on the scene, located at 3622 Mineral Bluff Highway at 4:14 pm. While trying to extinguish the fire, Engines 2 and 14 were on the scene, tanker number 2 and medic unit number 11 were there, along with 20 firefighters. Some two hours later, they cleared the scene at 6:49 pm. The cause of the fire was undetermined and the state fire marshal is conducting an investigation.
