Iva Mae Watson : Obituary

Mrs. Ina Mae Watson, age 81, of Epworth, GA passed away Monday, August 19, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Watson was born in Union County, GA on June 18, 1932 to the late Arthur Phillips and Minne Rider Phillips. She worked as a cook at Earl’s Lakeside Restuarant and was a member of Hipps Chapel Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Thomas J. Ratcliff and Bill Thomas Watson.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Roberta King of Lexington, NC, Irene and Howard Mashburn of Blue Ridge, GA, Imogene King of Lexington, NC, Margaret and Tex Cross of Mineral Bluff, GA, and Shirley Green of Epworth, GA; a brother, Don Phillips of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Juanita Gibson and Wanda Murphy, both of Murphy, NC; 9 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Cheatham officiating. Music will be by Amanda Towe and Nicole Davenport. Pallbearers will be Danny Green, Chris Cross, Chad Mashburn, Andy Mashburn, and Albert Green. Interment will follow in Hipps Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
