Mark Edwin Williamson, age 44, of Jonesboro, AR, passed away at his residence Wednesday, July 24, 2013. He was born in Marietta, GA to Robert Verlon and Wilma Long Williamson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, proudly serving his country for six years. He worked at Nucor Castrip as a maintenance electrician in Blytheville, AR. He was of the Baptist faith. Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, Robert Verlon Williamson and his wife, Janie Williamson.
He is survived by two sons, Anthony Ross Williamson of Philadelphia, PA, Spencer Ryan (Candy) Williamson of Fort Campbell, KY; mother, Wilma Williamson of Turtletown, TN; brother Keith (Debra) Williamson of Turtletown, TN; one grandchild, Marshall Williamson.
A memorial service celebrating Mark’s life will be Saturday, August 17th at 12:00 p.m. at the Liberty Baptist Church with Keith Williamson conducting the service. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to help defray final expenses. Condolences to the family may be sent to www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
