Carolyn Woodhams Bynum : Obituary

Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces for the Rowland Funeral Home of North Augusta, South Carolina, the death and funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Peebles Woodhams Bynum, age 89, who entered into rest on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at her residence.Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 8, 2013, in the Chapel of Rowland Funeral Home with Ted Stephens officiating. A graveside interment service will be held on Friday, August 9, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in Burch Cemetery in Hiawassee.

Carolyn was a faithful servant of the Lord, having received Him when she was sixteen. She was an inspiration to her family and friends and taught Bible study for many years. She was a former member of Bethany Chapel, Augusta, Georgia, and a current member of North Augusta Bible Chapel, and an active participant for many years at Christian Bible conferences.

Survivors include one son, David Woodhams and wife Joanne of Cleveland, Ohio; two stepsons, John and George Bynum and families; 11 grandchildren; two nieces, Janice Miller and husband Harold; and Lynne Cheek, all of Augusta, Georgia; one nephew, Dr. Frank Clark, of Boston, Massachusetts; cousin Libby Still and husband Don, of Blackville, South Carolina; and loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husbands, John Woodhams and Bill Bynum, and two step-children, Karen and Jonathan.

The family will be receiving friends at Rowland Funeral Home in North Augusta on Wednesday evening, from 6 until 7 p.m.
