Montree Bryson : Obituary

Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces the death of Mrs. Belva Montree Bryson, native and lifelong resident of Hiawassee, who passed away early Thursday morning, July 25th, in Chatuge Regional Nursing Home in Hiawassee.

Mrs. Bryson was born in Hiawassee, a daughter of the late Orville Bryson and the late Maude McConnell Bryson. She was a homemaker and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Della Bryson, and a brother, Aaron C. Bryson.

Family members left to cherish her memory are brother and sister-in-law, Elmer and Pat Bryson, of Hiawassee; sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Sidney Manning, of Jefferson, Georgia, and sister, Corene Shifflett, of Knoxville, Tennessee; many other relatives, along with nieces and nephews and friends, also survive.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Sunday, July 28, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., at Macedonia Baptist Church, with Rev. Harold Ledford and Rev. Kevin Moss officiating. Special selections of music will be presented by Dodie Ledford. The body will lie instate at the church starting at 1:30 p.m., on Sunday. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Michael Bryson, Shannon Bryson, Jacob Bryson, Robert Lyle, Randall McConnell, Phillip McConnell, and Mickey McConnell. Pallbearers should meet at the funeral home between 1:00 and 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 28th. Burial will be in Burch Cemetery in Hiawassee, where she will be laid to rest beside her sister, Della.

Visitation will be held on Saturday evening, July 27, 2013, between the hours of 6 until 8 p.m.
