During the summer months, classic and vintage cars are no stranger to the road, however, Friday’s sudden severe rain storm posed a problem for car enthusiasts gathered for Blue Ridge Dairy Queen’s monthly “Classic Cars Cruise In” event. Each fourth Friday of the month, through October, Dairy Queen, in Blue Ridge, invites vintage cars to cruise in and spectators to join the cars for a car show but this event was short lived on June 28, 2013 when monsoon like rains flooded Blue Ridge forcing everyone in doors. Within five minutes of the rain, cars were scarce and an audience was nonexistent. Perhaps, the July 26, 2013 event will be more successful.
