Gas Pipeline Benefits Blue Ridge

The Atlanta Gas Light company held a celebration at Fannin County High School’s Performing Arts Center on Wednesday afternoon to celebrate the completion of the gas pipeline that has allowed for the citizens of Blue Ridge to have natural gas available to them for the first time. The ceremony included several speakers from AGL and Blue Ridge who were influential in bringing natural gas to Fannin County, including AGL President Bryan Batson, Speaker David Ralston, and Blue Ridge mayor Donna Whitener.

The celebration also included Batson presenting Whitener with a gold-painted meter along with a wrench-turning ceremony outside of the auditorium featuring employees of AGL and those in the Blue Ridge community who helped get the gas there, thus successfully signaling start of a promising relationship between Fannin and AGL.
