Mrs. Viola Yale, age 91 of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away on Friday, May 24, 2013, at Copper Basin Medical Center in Copperhill, TN. She was born on Thursday, January 19, 1922 in Youngstown, OK to the late Joseph E. Jackson and Josephine Taylor Jackson. Mrs. Yale had been employed at Handy-Dan as a cashier. She lived most of her life in Amarillo, TX before coming to Mineral Bluff, GA to live with her daughter, who was a devoted caregiver.
Mrs. Yale was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Yale and daughters, Esteline Lou Growler and Zell Lancelle Woods. Mrs. Yale was one of thirteen children.
She is survived by her daughter, Camille Brown of Mineral Bluff, GA; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 1:00 pm. from Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with the Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Music will be by Hunter Bruce. Entombment will follow in Copper Ridge Memory Garden. Memorial contributions may be sent to First Baptist Church of Epworth, Quilting Missions P.O. Box 187 Epworth, GA 30541.
