Inez Mary Jones : Obituary

Mrs. Inez Mary Jones, age 85 of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on Friday, May 24, 2013 at home.Mrs. Jones was born in Fannin County, GA on April 26, 1928 to the late Homer C. and Ollie Patterson Davenport. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Jones loved interior decorating, cooking, especially baking. She loved children, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Jones was a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Davenport and sisters, Lillian Postell, Madeline Jones and Floy Rogers.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Luther A. Jones of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Al and Dana Jones of Calhoun, GA; brother, James Davenport of Blue Ridge, GA; sisters, Arlene Key of Blue Ridge, GA, Faye White of Concord, NC and Marie Kenemer of Dalton, GA; two grandchildren, Kelly Jones Mardis of Rocky Face, GA and Mark Jones of Rocky Face, GA; five great grandchildren, Forrest Jones, Tucker Mardis, Hudson Mardis, Adee Jones and David Jones; many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, May 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Jess Posey, Rev. Robert Beaver and Rev. Billy Ray Queen officiating. Music was by Junior and Larry Cox, Rodney and Joyce Panter. Pallbearers were Mark Jones, Forrest Jones, Jimmy Davenport, Larry Davenport, Jerry Davenport and Jeffrey Davenport. Interment followed in Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge was in charge of the arrangements.
