Joann Cook : Obituary

Mrs. Joann Cook, age 77, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in the Union General Hospital in Blairsville, GA. Mrs. Cook was born on September 17, 1935 in Murphy, NC to the late John Leamon Sutton and Ora Haseltine Gibson Sutton. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by sons, Mike Sutton, Steve Sutton, Johnny Cook, and Danny Cook.

She is survived by her husband, Rudy Cook of Blue Ridge; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Karen Cook of Blue Ridge; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Albert Jeffery of Spiro, Oklahoma, Patricia and Scott Holloway of Morganton, Connie and Mike Davis of Blue Ridge, Linda and Shane Vincent of Anchorage, Alaska, and Susie and Bhavik Patel of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; sisters, Wilma Palmer of Murphy, NC and Polly Caldwell of Brasstown, NC; 34 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Grady Ray and Rev. Phillip Green officiating. Pallbearers will be Justin Kincaid, James Kincaid, Trevor Cook, Joseph Holloway, Nathan Holloway, and Joseph Jeffery. Interment will follow in New Antioch Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
