Mr. Eddie Lee Dobbs, age 70, of Copperhill, TN, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013. Mr. Dobbs was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Alex John and Madrie Marie Phillips Dobbs. He was a former employee of the Ford Motor Company in Hapeville, GA working in the Paint Department for 31 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of McCaysville. Mr. Dobbs enjoyed helping people in need.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sheryl Halcome Dobbs of the home. a son, Scott Dobbs of Griffin, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Patsy Dobbs of Norcross, GA; two grandchildren, Anna Dobbs and Taylor Dobbs, both of Griffin, GA.
Mr. Dobbs was cremated and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Condolences to the family may be sent to www.akinfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill in charge of the arrangements.
