Fannin’s Final Game Features First Shut Out

The Fannin County High School Rebels hosted the Leopards of Banks County during the last game of the season. Fannin secured its first shut out of the year with an 8-0 victory. Afterward the Rebels recognized the lone senior, Todd Patterson, during a brief “Senior Night” ceremony.The Rebels’ route began in the bottom of the first inning. Peyton Satterfield led off with a single, and then stole second base.

Korey Satterfield drove in Peyton with an RBI single that put the Rebels up 1-0.

Noah O’Neal’s two run double put the Rebels up 3-0. Cody Falls’ RBI put the Rebels up 4-0 headed into the second inning.

The second inning saw an RBI single from O’Neal increase the lead to 5-0.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Kory Satterfield led off with a single, then took second base on a wild pitch. An RBI double from O’Neal scored Satterfield. O’Neal scored on an RBI single from Patterson, allowing Fannin to field a 7-0 lead going into the fifth.

The final run of the game was again courtesy of O’Neal, whose RBI single put Fannin up 8-0.

The shutout was the first Fannin shutout of the year, fittingly on Fannin’s “Senior Night.”

After the game Patterson was honored in a brief ceremony.
