Mrs. Vernia Ella Millsaps Goss, age 99 of Epworth, passed away April 24, 2013 at Home. Mrs. Goss was born April 6, 1914 in Fannin County, GA to the late Mount Millsaps and Lovy Jane Patterson Millsaps. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by husband, Luther Goss, sister, Myrtle Davis, brother, Wallace Millsaps, brother, Ulis Millsaps, brother, Reader Millsaps, and daughter-in-law, Christine Goss. She enjoyed crochet and gardening.
Survivors include: son, Gary (Novella) Goss, son, Larry Goss, son, Michael Goss, daughter, Diane (Wayne) Queen, son, Terry Goss, daughter, Debbie (Schronce) Quinn, grandchildren, Lisa Goss (Scottie) Seymour, Teresa Goss (Todd) Hutchins, Melody Queen Davenport, Jason Queen, Dustin (Jessica) Queen, and Adam Quinn, great-grandchildren, Chandler Pendley, Daniel Davenport, and KateLynn Davenport.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Lebanon Baptist Church with the Rev. Claude Mathis and the Rev.David McLendon officiating. She will lie in state from 10:00am to 11:00am. Music provided by Carol Thomas. Interment will follow in the Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jason Queen, Dustin Queen, Chandler Pendley, Daniel Davenport, Scottie Seymour, and Todd Hutchins.
The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home of McCaysville, Friday, April 26, 2013 from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
